Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care on a 20-bed Stepdown/Med Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:3 in stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor.
- Manage and titrate drips such as Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone in accordance with patient needs.
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists utilizing CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment.
- Interpret cardiac strips and utilize telemonitoring resources effectively.
- Support charge nurse and house supervisor roles as needed.
- Adhere to unit dress code with royal blue scrubs and complete unit-specific orientation.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active RN license within a 50-mile radius with unexpired driver’s license.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Proven experience in stepdown nursing and titrating drips.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with a weekend rotation of 3 shifts per 4 weeks and rotating holidays.
- Comfortable working alongside nurse aides and respiratory therapists in a monitored setting.

This assignment is contract-based lasting 13 weeks. No call or standby requirements. Floating is not expected. Orientation tailored to the unit ensures a smooth transition.
